But that may not be possible with all shoes. Nor, are we able to wash them as often as we’d like. So, Baking Soda is a great absorbent. It works to soak up that stench & eradicate those bacteria. If you can’t WASH your shoes, they need as much Airing Out as possible. You could even stuff paper towels inside them to expedite the drying process. Even the newer “breathable” shoes get sweaty & need some air.
When you have to wear socks, don’t wear cotton! Cotton actually soaks up sweat & acts just like an incubator for that smelly fungi & bacteria. But sweat or moisture-wicking socks keep your feet DRY! This also helps keep them WARM. And since they’re dry, that odor won’t accumulate….
You may think standing in the shower or sitting in that tub is automatically cleaning your feet. NOT. You really should scrub off all that dead skin & bacteria.
