Important Life Skills….
A child needs to use their Imagination & Creativity! This creates healthy development! Who knows, YOUR child could be the next Pablo Picasso. A child also learns to share through imagination & creativity. We can see their feelings, thoughts, & ideas through their play. Most importantly, play helps to grow self-confidence! This is due to using their very own imagination & creativity. Who doesn’t want a Self-Confident child?
Imagination also allows critical thinking! Hence, a child is able to consider different outcomes & problem-solve. Don’t we want our children to be Great Problem Solvers?
Creativity also develops social skills. Consequently, a child learns to cooperate & interact, with others, while at play.
A Child can also find their Passion while at play. Likewise, they Learn through Play. Ideally, a child’s passion leads him/her to a life-long income-earning profession. Isn’t that what you want for your child?
And as we all know….. Do What You Love! AND You’ll never work a day in your life! #Inspiration
A Tale of Imagination & Creativity
Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek in 1966. His imagination took him to another world. Not to mention, he created many planets & galaxies! Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. So, we are left to wonder exactly why he went……. “Where no man has gone before”.
He almost followed in his father’s footsteps. He almost made a career in the police department. Can you imagine if Gene had continued to study police science? But his interest in aeronautical engineering was calling! By the way, Gene did earn an Associate of Arts degree in police science. But he did not stay with the police. More importantly, he attained a pilot’s license through the United States Army Air Corps. Why is that important?
During World War II, Gene’s squadron flew many missions. Maybe those flights inspired Gene’s writing. Certainly, being a pilot must have influenced him. He was also a plane crash investigator! At one point, he was actually a passenger during a crash. No doubt, his life experience made an impact on him! It, most certainly, must have affected his writing..
So, we Imagine….. From his Imagination, his Creativity brought Star Trek to Life!
What would have happened if Gene’s Imagination & Creativity had been stifled?
What would we do without our Trekkies?
Two people may have the same life experiences. But their imagination takes them in different directions. Gene could have decided to focus on aeronautical engineering. He could have decided to work for NASA! Would we be colonizing Mars right now, if that had happened? But he took his interest in all things aeronautical & Wrote!
So, why do we need imagination? Because without imagination, we would NOT Dream of the Possible. How boring would that be?

Think of where we are NOW compared to where we were…..
Would you be able to converse with a person on the other side of the planet?! Would we still need to ask the operator to dial our party for us? You wouldn’t be able to take a picture with your phone!
Would we be traveling by horse & buggy? It used to take months to travel across the nation! But due to industrialized assembly, we have automobiles today.
Thank you, Ransom Olds & Henry Ford, for our automobiles. But it was really a meat slaughterhouse that got the assembly lines rolling……..
It took Imagination & Creativity to take the Fantasy & make it a Reality.
When imaginations come together…….. Surprising things are created!
