If you want a little extra flavor in your sauce, think of adding capers, olives, or even a squeeze of Dijon mustard. Now, if you’re going for simple, just do a squeeze of fresh lemon or a drizzle of olive oil! But if you want a creamy glaze, use mayonnaise!
Consequently, the most important part of cooking your fish is to start with Fresh Fish. So, don’t let your fresh catch sit around until its eyes are cloudy! Those eyes should be clear & looking right at you! Your fish should Not stink! The flesh should also be firm & bounce when you poke at it. The skin & gills should be moist, shiny & also slippery. If you are new to fishing, you might want to do some studying… For instance, did you know that you want to scale your fish? Personally, I do NOT want that done in My Kitchen. I would prefer you to do that at the creek, lake or wherever you caught it! Because it is So Messy! If you want to wait until you get home to filet the whole fish, that’s ok as long as you clean up after yourself! Fish juices that are allowed to drip or run – but you didn’t know they were dripping in that particular location – do Not take long to Stink! So, be a good housemate & make sure you keep your home stench-free!
